Ah so young.
We're going into it in much better shape financially than last time. The 06/07 team was awful yet we still got promoted. I'm quite optimistic.

I take your point. I think optimism should be cautious until the squad is at least re-built.

I'm not expecting us to waltz it at all. However, I think thats what the club should be aiming for.

I'm intrigued to see if League 2 will be as poor as it was 5 years ago.

Not so much intrigued as dreading in my eyes.

Of course THEY should... I don't think we as fans should just yet.

Let's not forget the Benyon is proven at that level.

As long as we partner him with a big man I'll be happy.

So far he has been.

Although he hasnt played all that much. I dont have faith in him to fire us out of L2. We need another 3 strikers at least.

True, but not really a factor,  because last time we had no money yet still spent a lot, whereas this time we have some money, but probably wont spend wildly. This means we'll still be limited to the type of player, who'll play in Div 4, because to entice a better class of player would mean paying over them over the odds which wont happen.

For di Canio to fashion a side out of what he's left with and some new recruits that can be in the promotion shake up would be a significant achievement.

At the time of his signiture Benyon was, in my opinion, nothing more than a panic buy.

Hopefully he'll turn out to be a good one.
