Hardings ? Went on to be Desperate and Divorced ? Buying Subbuteo from Trents. And there was that "World of Sport" shop where Sole Trader is now - by where Bejams and C&A used to be. Used to spend hours and hours in Queens Park having grown up just round the corner.

Recently, I volunteered to clear trees and other rubbish from the section between Skew Bridge and the watered section at West Leaze. My reason for doing so was that it brought back memories of playing truant from school. We would go along to Skew Bridge and cross the canal, sometimes getting wet feet, before going into the withy beds to make crude bows and arrows to shoot at the trains travelling up and down the ‘Old Town Line’. Nobody is a saint!

bar 150
Aaah yes, many a happy hour spent in there doing jelly shots when I should have been at college... Also remember Rhapsody, could spend hours in there of a Saturday afternoon! Like JFW said, Cairo's and Carrefour... And the revolving bar in the Brunel Rooms (RIP). How about the Mail Coach as THE underage drinking spot?

I miss the old shop on 'the lane' aka Rodbourne Road where I could buy a quarter of lemon bon bons. Then by the time I got home they were gone.
