Who the hell are Shelbourne anyway? They're a Champions League side so maybe you're a little premature in your evaluation of them. They play in a lower league but subsequently are regular European contenders.

Why has the situation got really bad if we're competing with Shelbourne? They held Deportiva La Coruna to a 0-0 draw last year and came within one game of making the group stages of the champions league.

If the guy has been playing regularly for Plymouth in the Championship that sgood enough for me. I couldn't give a stuff about Shelbourne.

Can anyone find any decent information on this player? Google hasn't done the job for me and there's nothing on the plymouth sites as far as I can see..

I've never heard of Derek Worrell. However, Im pretty sure that Plymouth have a player called David Worrell, I assume it is him. :?

That's because his name is actually David Worrell, he played 140 games for Plymouth in 4 seasons but looks like he wasn't quite good enough for the championship but he can be a decent player at this level.

4 cautions in 31 starts. with a squad the size of ours thats exactly what we need! "Worrell was substituted 13 minutes from the end of the game and received, not only a standing ovation, but also a shake of the hand from every Argyle player, even McCormick, who ran to the halfway line to pass on his best wishes to his departing colleague." http://www.pafc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/d2/92/0,,10364~561874,00.jpg

He didn't get any yellows at all in 2003/2004.
Could be a very good signing, very experienced at this level and also played in the championship and Scottish Premier. If we got him, I think the defence would be looking pretty good.
