PRIMAL SCREAM took on GLASTONBURY in fighting mood, refusing to leave the stage tonight (June 26) as the festival headed toward the final lap.
At the end of a hit-packed second headline set on the Pyramid Stage, the band overran after ‘Moving On Up’, but not before announcing they were going to finish with a cover of John Lennon’s ‘Gimme Some Truth’.
However, agitated singer Bobby Gillespie refused to leave the stage after time was called, baiting the crowd as Mani played the bass riff to ‘I Want You Back’ by the Jackson 5. Eventually, the plugs were pulled and the singer was moved from the stage by security.
Throughout the show, Gillespie had been in antagonistic mood, calling the crowd “fucking hippes” before playing ‘Kill All Hippies’ and calling, “Did anyone come to see Kylie? Fuck yous,” and later antagonising headliners Basement Jaxx.
The singer also took on Other Stage headliner Ian Brown, asking the crowd if they really wanted to see a reformed Stone Roses.

i smoked about 1/4 weed and perked myself up for the d&b suitably but no new experiences. acid could be worth a go there next time but the lads i was with aren't really into all that.
Fuck that. Go to nature, or stay somewhere comfortable with people you love

Thats not to say that acid in the right place cant be fantastic because it most certainly can.3 hours solid laughing followed by a spaced out cheery 10 hours is blinding.I always used to think it made the pores on my skin bigger and it always left a funny taste in my mouth.

Just got back Got a fucking job interview at 10 that I just found out about so going to stay up until 9am to re-schedule. Saw... FridayThe Thrills (Superb) The Zutons THe White Stripes The Killers SaturdayGLC Kaiser Chiefs New Order SundayJools Holland Soulwax Van Morrison Brian Wilson The Bravery Primal Scream Too Many DJ's End of Basement Jaxx Was fucking awesome arrived Wednesday about 1:30 in the afternoon and had to queue for about two hours in heat I haven't experienced since Thailand. We had to wait for a load of mates to arrive so we just crashed out near the 'other stage' and took in the atmosphere. Fortunately the two spots we picked out, by the John Peel Stage and where everyone got flooded out, where vetoed by the rest of the group when they arrived and we trudged up a massive hill for a cracking spot. Highlight had to be New Order they where superb and I slacked everyone off to watch the full set as they wanted to watch something else. Keith Allen turned up at the end riding a pantomime horse for a blazing rendition of World in Motion. Drank and smoked far to much and seemed to have literally lost hours and hours but it all seemed worth it in the end. Will throw a few pics on later. [/list]

I rerckon Brian Wilson commanded the biggest crowd of the whole weekend - I'm so glad I was there for that, he was fantastic.
When he went off stage and came back on for a few more songs the crowd went absolutely balisic, it was one of the highlights of the festival for me.
