One of my friends jumps pretty regularly at Netheravon, never done it myself but he's never had any complaints about the site.

Went a few years back. Tuck your collar in if you wear a shirt. I didn't and wasn't aware why the fuck the wind was absolutely killing my ears. I was in agony. We were told to keep out arms out and the pain eventually became so much I moved my hands in to cover my ears, only to discover the collar flapping, with which the shoot opened. The initial leaving of the plane is good, so keep you eyes open as none of my mates did, and the rest is fun, but not scary.

Netheravon looks good but bit of a trek from swindon. Do I do it for charidy, or just do it for myself. Undecided.

But for charity don't you have to raise a certain amount or something?
The only thing that's putting me off is being strapped to another bloke...

I was talking to a fella t'other day, who was a bank clerk...in every way he seemed quite normal, but had just returned from Afghanistan, where he was with the TA, and spent his weekends jumping out of planes. If he couldn't jump, then he'd go to MK where apparently is athing where you can simulate jumping and hone your skills. We're all different
