If anyone is driving/travelling to North Surrey or South London tomorrow take the day off! We've had 9 or 10 inches and all the roads are either gridlocked or closed at the mo. I'm just back from a 9 mile 5 hour walk to collect my daughter from school. Those of you who know me will wonder how i've lived through that to be able to type this.

Took my daughter to school at 8. as you say light dusting, by 10 I knew it was all going to go tits up. If i'd gone in the car I would still be out there now.

And hooray sutton council also. They were boasting last week they had 50000 tonnes of salt. I'm guessing they still have 49999 left in the yard the fucking idiots.

I walked home in the snow. It was lovely, but a bit dodgy walking downhill when the snow melted to ice

To be fair I did see one gritter on my marathon hike. It was stuck on an incline and had blocked the road off!

Weird how central London is so vastly different to everywhere around it - is a few inches of snow too much to ask?? We've had very little so far.

It snowed all day in SW London but nothing settled. At least the journey to work tomorrow will be a easy.
