This is my kinda thread!
For lagers.........Borsodi's a cracking shout if you can get hold of it. I enjoy a Tyskie, Sagres and a Modela Negra now and again.
I love a few ales too, Newcastle Brown's me fave, but some Badger ales are ok (tanglefoot etc) doombar's a fair shout. Bath ales and moles brewery produce some good efforts (gem and barnstormer are good)

Porters and Stout, particularly Youngs Double Chocolate Stout which I'm unlikely to see on draught again with the sale of the Ram brewery although widely available in bottles.

Lager - Staropramen is great, most lagers now are just boring

Al - Newcy Brown, or Theakston's Old Peculier are my favs but i like most, especially dark ones

Nice thread. I like my ale, fullers and badger are probably my favourite breweries which is a bit shit because you dont seem to find many of their beers in swindon.

Fuller's beer is my favourite aswell. They do London Pride in the Rolleston and also the Check Inn in Wroughton is a Fuller's pub.

Any good Hefeweizen or wheat beer for warmer weather - Pauliner is good. Otherwise it is another vote for Bath Ales' Gem or Butcombe's IPA. 

As for cider - Weston's Old Rosie. It had got a picture of a steamroller on it. That is nature's warning.

At a risk of repeating other posters, Fullers, Badger and (my local brewery) Hog's Back are the beers I go for most often.  I used to drink lager in summer, but went off it years ago...tend to drink IPA mostly in summer now.  A great alternative that has the added benefit that it actually tastes of something.

After years of drinking Stella, I really went off the lager a couple of years ago when I found I couldn't cope with the gasiness. Now a real ale man, love to try new & different ones all the time. One of my favourites is Hobgoblin, but happy to try any proper beer going !

Get hold of some Deuchars IPA, Ardiles...it is the best.  Should be easily available in London and close by.  Black Isle Brewery 'Red Kite' is good bitter...but I guess not available much south of the border!!

The Deuchars is one of my favourite IPAs!  We visit the in laws in Argyll 3 or 4 times a year, and my father in law knows I like my ales and always gets a decent selection of local/Scottish beers in for when I'm up.  Never tried 'Red Kite', but will look out for it.  Most recently, I think it's Fyne Ales and Arran Brewery beers I've been drinking.

There are some great beers up there if you go looking for them, but I find that it's almost impossible to find them on draught.  Most of the pubs I go to are dominated by Tennants lager and 60 Shilling, 70 Shilling etc.  Doesn't seem to be quite the same beer culture up in Scotland as down south.

You're right, Ardiles.  Pubs are not the institution that they are down south.  there has been a huge surge of micro-breweries which have expanded over the last few years into bigger concerns, so gradually the availability of draughts is getting better.  I really don't know the SW coast area very well, but further into the Highlands things are going quite well.  (Deuchars grew out of my family heritage, so I have an interest!! There is no direct connection now, but I feel a family loyalty...and its such a great beer!!!)

Yes I know they are the drink of the alocoholic but I actually do enjoy them.

Not that I have touched them since I started my diet 3 weeks ago, not a drop has passed my lips for 20 days, but will have a couple at the weekend as we have a gig at a Haven that serves good beer on tap, not the usual shit in a glass like John Smiths and Carling.
