Hi all,
I get the keys to my first house ive brought on friday. Looking forward to it immensely. The old owners have been kind enough to leave a wall bracket for a 42 inch tv on the wall, however they have left no instructions as to how to fit it to the tv. Are these things universal? And are they easy to fit to the tv? Its a panasonic

Look on the back of your telly, should be some big screws attaching it to its base.

First things first, do you have a 42 incher?
Why would you want your telly on a wall?

The tv is the same size.
Why not have it on the wall? looks good and saves space imo

I would imagine they are universal (might be wrong though). Is there much flexibilty when it's on the wall? My tv is on a wide bookcase and I move it around depending which sofa I'm sat on.

Most TVs of that size are VESA 200 x 200, so it should fit.

I take it I just screw the big screw from the beaker into the back of the tv?
Muchos gracias

Measure the distance between the mounting holes. 20cm x 20cm = VESA 200 x 200.
Is it a folding arm type bracket, or is it just flat to the wall? If it's flat to the wall, there's normally a couple of rails that screw into the back of the TV that you then hook on to the bracket.
Post a picture if you're not sure and I'll be able to tell.

Im quite nosey and whilst I wander the streets of Rodbourne I often look through peoples windows and see them looking crane necked at their flat screens mounted to their walls and it frankly looks quite uncomfortable and stupid.

Sam this is the bracket
http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x480/tanswell2010/c5d9f232.jpg
This is an arm of it
http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x480/tanswell2010/292b9289.jpg
The two screw holds at either end are two far apart from the mounting holes on the back of the tv. Can I put the screws through the other gaps?
