Anybody on the TEF Fancy doing somthing just to show we support him? Maybe a little whipround and somebody could present it at a game towards the charity of his choice? (Probally scope)

Following on from the fund raising we did for that Leeds Utd kid last season being such a success, I've been planning to suggest we do something similar this season. This would seem to give us a good cause to raise some money for. Just a whip round or something a bit more involved? Would be nice if we could do it in tandem with another forum like we did with Leeds, maybe pick one of our upcoming home games and see if we can sort something out? Maybe a fund raising event with Poole Town fans? I'm happy to help out with whatever we do.

I would like to help as well please.
Knock the idea down if you want but for an upcoming game how about Bristol Rovers? National coverage so may get a mention on sky and people watching may then donate as well? Just a thought.

Sounds like a good idea to me, a few weeks before the organised event, perfect timing.
I'll happily stick in 20.

I think they're holding their fund raising event around Halloween so I'd suggest we aim to complete our fund raising before then, which still gives us a good few weeks.
We need to decide what we're doing though. Sounds like a joint whip round with the Poole Town forum is a popular idea. If we go with it, we'll need to contact them to see if they're up for it - is it stfcinbmth that hangs out there? Or is someone else a member there?
Once we agree and get Poole on board, I'll start a new thread for the collecting of funds. Don't want to tread on any toes so as Crispy suggested it first if he wants to run with it I'll step aside, but still help out where necessary (I think there was a few of us collecting last time which worked well).
