Very sad indeed. It must have been tough for Charlie to carry on playing football through that.

I would hope that all those cunts who were sniffing around for "dirt" on the bloke are now thoroughly ashamed of themselves..

Poor guy, must've been hard to play with this on his mind. That's why it's not right slag off players, you don't know what's going on in their lives. Eg LJF losing his sister and this too. Who knows maybe Rose and Pericard could be going through something similar. People should think about that before they demoralise their own players.

Something annoyed me on facebook today (like most days) some guy offering Charlie his condolences on one of the Austin fan pages, is the same guy that was on the same page months ago spouting shit about him and had revelations ready to be revealed.

I can't get over the fact there are such pathetic cunts out there.

Sad News indeed,my daughter had a similar thing....two years on she still isn't over it.
The guy has been a breath of fresh air.....i had heard some rumours.
My feeling is we are heading for the Championship in the next few years.........if he wanted to become a Swindon legend then his wish could be granted easily....young enough for another ten years here.............thats a lot of goals.

Shit news for Charlie and his missus.

This happened to a mate a few years back. Took him a long time to come to terms with it.

Probably done them both some good with it going public now. Hope their charity gig gets well supported.

Speaking from experience - but not specifically of cerebal palsey. Time is a great healer, although its something that will stick with the couple for the rest of their lives. Grief changes from completely consuming you to fading to a series of melancholic moments on anniversaries and when something reminds you of what might have been. I feel for them.

Awful thing to happen to anyone. Fair play to both of them for trying to generate something positive out of it. Takes some guts.

That's really sad.

I guess it's not a thing you ever really get over, you just learn to live with the memories.

Let's hope they both have many happy memories together in the future.

A "who smelled it, dealt it" Idea I reckon. Looks like you're organising. If it's got legs count me in.
