*GETTING IT OFF MY CHEST RANT*
In was asked to do a job editing an existing document to be used as an ebook. The pay wasn't great but I though that it might lead to further work so I accepted.
I edited the first chapter, at an agreed fee, to four pages as instructed and submitted it. Only to receive this a week later.
Hey Jamie - I've just been told that the HTML5 introduction chapter needs to be at least 10 pages long rather than the 4-5 pages we originally targeted. Would you be able to update the content on this appropriately using recent content across the web as reference? (recent is important as the features in HTML5 are a draft standard changing all the time). It can remain just talking about a quick summary of the main new features in HTML5, but I would rather we make it interesting. Need to make sure that we're giving people exactly what they need to see to want to read the entire book and whet their appetite so to speak. If you think it would be beneficial showing me the references you intend on using before you write, please let me know.
Best regards
Addy
Cheeky cunt.
Not only has he now changed his mind leaving me to do it again, but he wants me to write MORE than half of it for him all at the same price.
The words: "What did your last slave die from" springs to mind. Needless to say he's been told to shove it.
