How would you approach this if you were picking the team? Brentford have had a less than perfect start to the season; I think we are a better team when we "go for it".
Thoughts?

I guess the fact Ferry was taken off at Hartlepool tells us all we need to know about central midfield.

Sounds like O'Brien did enough to keep the shirt too.

I think we'll start:

                 Lucas
Caddis   Cuthbert     LJF      Rose
JPM      Douglas   Prutton  O'Brien
           Dossevi   Austin

Good shout, perhaps Prutton in behind the front two.

I suspect the Wilson will start with 1 up front and try to keep it tight until halftime. In the second half he'll react depending upon the score.

I don't see him playing one up front at home. I think it will be the team that finished at Hartlepool except with JPM coming in for Dossevi or Pericard.

Brentford (A) last season was the game (in my mind) that really kick started our season.  Just as well it's happening even earlier this year.

I'd go for:

                     Lucas

Caddis   Cuthbert  Jean Francois  Rose

McGovern     Ferry  Douglas      O'Brien

                Dossevi   Austin

If losing:

Amankwaah on for Rose,
Amankwaah swaps positions with Caddis,
Prutton on for O'Brien
Pericard on for McGovern

(when attacking Amankwaah and Caddis come forward as wingers, so formation changes from 4-3-3 to 2-5-3)

                     Lucas

Amankwaah   Cuthbert  Jean Francois  Caddis

           Ferry   Douglas  Prutton

           Dossevi   Austin   Pericard

Rose was alot better at Hartlepool and IMO doesn't warrant being dropped following his best display for the club.  I would seriously consider starting with team that finished the end of the game with Dossevi, Pericard and Austin all starting.  People can say what they want about Vince but when he plays it seems to cause all sorts of problems for defences just because he is a battering ram.  He was involved in both goals Saturday, his challenge forced the defender to head straight to Dossevi and he scored and also he put Austin in for the equaliser.

                Lucas
   Caddis Cuthbert LJF Rose
     JPM Ferry Douglas AOB
           Austin Dossevi

That's my team. Harsh on Prutton, Ball, Manks and Vinny but there is so much competition in the squad..

edit: that's the same team as RockinRobin picked.

I would also go with that team, but I think Danny will stick with Prutton over Ferry.

Looking forward to seeing a bit more of Dossevi on Saturday and also Caddis for the first time.
