KING DANGLES BULMAN CARROT
Swindon manager Andy King is to hand young goalkeeper Matty Bulman a further chance to impress ahead of next season.

The 18-year-old's scholarship contract expired at the end of the last season, but he has been invited to pre-season training with the chance of earning a new deal.

But King is looking for more than just a back up to first-choice Rhys Evans and has challenged Bulman to push for a regular place if he wants to stay.

"I will give young Bulman an opportunity to come in and show he can challenge in pre-season. It looks like he will come back on a month-to-month contract," King told the club's official website.

"Rhys didn't have the challenge that we needed last season and if Bulman can't do that there is no point in him being here.

"If he can show me he is capable of challenging and threatening Rhys then we will look at it again."

I think King realises the difference between Rhys' better season and last one
