Why do some youtube videos show as actual videos and some just show as links?
Because some people know how to link properly  Use the flash icon just above the text box to make it show up as a video |

I've put links on before and it's shown as a video without doing the flash thing. Also, when I preview the thread before I post it the videos show as videos, weird. |

Well that didn't work either.
I've put links on before and it's shown as a video without doing the flash thing.
The forum just does it. Its done it to me before, and as I just successfully posted the same link as you without the flash thingy it shows it has the bad aids. And here is TalkTalk in his younger days (less faded denim).
