1st rule of friendlies. You can't tell anything from friendlies.

Quick review,

first half we controlled the game mostly. Good physically competitive game for a friendly as a I guess marine don't want to get dicked by the local league team.

-Austin put himself a bit, had a few wild sighter shots before a calmly taken goal.
- #9 (Trialist) looks quick and took the goal well but did a lot of things wrong too.
- JP looks to be up for it again, good comedy dive demonstation after a soft free quick.
- Morrison did OK at the back looked comfortable
- LJF was LJF. Looked good most of the time  but made a mistake too
- Scott didn't have much to do.
- DOuglas - class act
- Timlin - mixed bag
- Rose - looked good coming forward, and OK at defending. Seems a good communicator.

Lots of subs at half time made the game disjointed from Swindon's point of view, and marine upped their game a bit too.

- Cuthbert talked the back line well. In scottish though so he may need subtitles...
- Prutton. Looked assured and seemed to push up field more than Douglas.
- Ball looked lively enough and took his goal well (bouncing ball lobbed over onrushing keeper). Hard to tell due to the disjointed play.
- Millwall bloke. Liked reasonably skillful but perhaps did a bit much at times and needed to pass
- Irish bloke - looked useful and tried to get involved.
- Perricard. Only on for 30 mins. Is he a) injured b) coming back from injury or c) not good. I really want him to do well but he didn't show anything tonight.

Good to see Bodin, Thomson and, erm, I'm sure there was another young un. Thought they did pretty well, obviously not quite ready to worry the starting 11 but you never now in a year or two.

I'm worried about Pericard and his injuries.

Hopefully Wilson is looking for an experienced striker, Ball sounds promising but you can't rely soley on him & Austin if Pericard continues to not do the business or keeps on getting injured all the time.

Is Darren Murray the lad who chose to come train with us instead of the top Irish league clubs that were after him? What position does he play?

Arquins goal was really well taken, he turnt from his right foot onto his left and burys it, Charlies was a long ball over the top, he ran onto it and took it wide, shooting across goal into the bottom left.

Balls goal was superb, the keeper ran out to close down a ball and Ball lofted it over his head.

Oh right, okay. Sounds promising from reports i've heard so far. Let's hope he can turn on the style against better opposition

Pericard def not injured - I was by the dugout and could hear Danny talking to the players, and no mention or any sign of an injury - just wanted to give the Irish lad a run out.

JP def my man of the match - he looked sharp and very skilful. Very funny moment when he thought a Marine player had dived - he did a comical swan dive to the ground, with a really cheeky grin to match !

Amankwah really impressed me as well - he looked so fit and didn't stop running, both attacking down the line and chasing back.

All in all, quite a pleasing performance from all  Smiley

Every one did alright.

Ball looked lively and took his goal well. Austin looked sharp and the trailist looked decent enough, worth another look.

Pericard looked well rubbish. Expect better from O'Brien.

Defence looked solid although weren't really troubled.

Yes, I did.

That Millwall lad looked handy. Head up a bit more would help.

Didn't see much of Murray.
