Well, you may laugh, but I tried it, and it was fucking lovely, so thanks for the culinary tip!

It doesn't matter what you do to a farley's rusk, they simply rock.

Don't get me wrong I like sauce, but that combo doesn't need it.....you can appreciate the flavours more.

as much as I like brown bread it should never be anywhere near bacon let alone combined with it. A bacon sandwich needs to be made with good old fashioned hearty White bread. And any fool knows that it needs sauce, red or brown, it makes no difference. A bacon sandwich without sauce is like a Sunday roast without gravy.

Anybody who doesn't like gravy should not be allowed to have food.

I often have a dry roast. I don't always enjoy gravy so sometimes choose not to have it. I didn't have it at all until in to my 20's.

Depends what the consistency of the gravy is. It needs to be thick. If it's like dishwater (like my mother-in-law's) then I'd prefer not to have any gravy at all.

My Gramp used to have his roasts dry, bless him....
For when I'm in a hurry, Walls micro-sausages in-between 2 slices of toast, with ketchup - fucking lovely.
One that I can't be arsed to make, but usually buy when I see it, is tuna nicoise in a ciabbata roll - the combination of boiled-egg, tuna, olives, capers....want one now.
