This has to be the umpteenth thread about sandwiches and their fillings...

Here's the Don of sandwich threads....an 09 fB classic with runny egg pics.

a fave of mine is when i go to new york fresh from the deli,  3 cheese (american, monteray and cheddar) Lettuce onions mustard and mayo all in a freshly baked roll  (so not really a sandwich)

polish deli mustard makes me happy. i prefer it to mayo in sandwiches.

i quoted you for this as you're the token pole

oh it does.
bacon, premium sausage, egg and mushrooms in thick cut white bread with brown sauce.

with you all the way on that one, also its just as important to select the correct bread, i like a bloomer, not keen on baguettes as i find they some how take away the taste of the filling, and it seems to take ages trolling through them Cheesy

Corned beef.

Even Buckingham palace has corned beef.
Haha!

I had a Brie de Meaux, pesto and rocket sandwich today. Sounded good when I ordered it, and was indeed rather tasty, but lacked something. Maybe a bit of tomato would have done the trick?

For the ultimate corned beef sandwich, try it with some sliced pickled onions (big home made ones though, not the pissy little silverskin things).

Bread, Marg, bit of ketchup and a nice big hot sausage roll dumped in the middle of it.  The wife brought me ten big sausage rolls back from Hong Kong last week and they were gone in a couple of days.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

this may sound strange but try it, mash up some farleys rusks with milk until paste like, then spread it on your bread, fantastic.

Whack in some parma ham, or some other similar salty cured ham to give it some flavour, unless you're one of these gay veggie types too?

If you are, I would suggest onion marmalade.

Each to their own and all but how did you discover this delicacy?
