As those who are getting the train know the last train leaves Charlton at 10:17pm (If you are making the 11:30 last train connection at Paddington back to Swindon) although we could have extra time or penatlies.

Had a look into this as some are thinking about booking SAS Travel to get back which is great but I know they are probably close to being full so, If anyone gets stuck due to penalties etc... never fear if you miss the last train.

You can either get a train to Didcot as mentioned in the other thread and chip in a tenner each if its private hire (Didcot To Wallingford is £17.00 in a taxi from outside the station so beware your prob looking about £20.00 each if 4 are in the car). Or there is a national express coach at 1am from Heathrow back to Swindon for £21.50 each (gets back to Swindon at 2:15) So if your worried about missing any potential extra time or penalties you can still get back to Swindon albeit a bit later.

Yes a ballsache but if we win it will be worth it Cheesy

Presumably, you mean the last train leaves Charlton at 2217 for those wanting a connection at Paddington?  Am I missing something?  National Rail enquiries show trains leaving Charlton for Waterloo East at 2225, 2247, 2255, 2317, 2325 & 0040...and I'm hoping to rely on one of those.

You are correct 1017 is the last train to get the connection at Paddington rather back to Swindon.

I phoned up V Cars, SN1 and United in Swindon and they all quoted me £30 from Didcot to Swindon (at 1am). You just have to book up sometime before.

Bargain.

I hope there isn't extra time as I have to get back to Bristol - sleeping at Paddington for me otherwise
