Anyone heard anything about half the town centre being shut in Swindon because of the BHS building collapsing?

I dunno, i've just been told by friends who were planning on going into town to not bother because it's collapsed. Weren't they knocking it down anyway?

They were supposedly refurbishing it.

Looks like they'll be stuck in the old Woolies store a bit longer then.

knew they were knocking it down and building a new site there perhaps they just finished knocking it down so have closed the town centre?

In other news some drunk youths sat on the wall outside our office over Easter and it collasped they also left litter and cider cans!

Yeah we were in Vodafone when it happened, apparently a gust of wind caught it. They closed off all the path around it, guess they'll just put more scaffolding up to support it more.
