I know Charlie Oatway, who played for Torquay, Brentford and Brighton, was named after the whole QPR squad in the year he was born. Has any TEFer got away with any such naming shenanagins?

I made a half-hearted effort to suggest Joe should be Sol(omon) but was quickly bullied out of it. Which on reflection is one of the many things she's right about. That's why we have a division of responsibilities - she decides stuff, I just pay for it.

I tried to convince Leggett (...and Samdy but he had a girl!) to name his little boy after the last town player to score before he was born.
As it turns out, I thought Gordon Leggett would have been a great name

In my scheme of things Joe, would be named after Joe Butler....Swindon's most famous taxi driver, not that I'd do anything like that. |
