I like Claudia Winkleman. She's got quite an infectious personality, seems like a proper good laugh and like Sippo says, you'd slap it up there. I have absolutely no idea who Kermode is, but seeing as Billy Shears likes him, I very much doubt i would.

This surprised me and must be a bit of a coup for Winkleman, going from hosting a Strictly Come Dancing b show to Film 2010. She doesn't annoy me half as hell as she used to, but I can't work out if this is because she is on less programmes now. Kermode can annoy me in equal measure.
Regardless, I don't regularly watch the show so it doesn't bother me. At least they didn't get Lauren Laverne to host it.

I would have thought they'd have chosen Laverne over Winkleman as Laverne has done Culture Show. I just associate Winkleman with lowbrow Saturday night shit. She won't be as good as Jonathon Ross.  Kermode knew he wouldn't get it. On the BBC article on their website he's quoted as saying "that show needs someone with a mainstream sensiblity. you can't have it presented by someone who says 3D is a con"  . |
