I still don't think it's real and some sort of stunt. There's no smoke coming from the tyres or anything...

Apparently it was a woman driving the clio. Why try and brake? As if that's going to do anything?!

BBC are reporting it as genuine, it happened in January and the Police attended. Looks like it was treated as a minor collision and now the video has emerged they're investigating it again. Hard to believe the BBC would be going with it if it was fake.

if it's genuine then the driver of the truck should be banned for life.
although hgv trucks are huge, you can still feel every little bump etc.a car sticking out of the front is pretty impossible to miss(unless it's one of the foreign truckers watching a dvd with his feet up on the dashboard)

The whole doesn't seem real. If it was me driving whoever was filming I'd be going mental like beeping etc not filming it...

Also no sparks whatsoever, the rubber on the tyres wouldn't last very long!

The real problem for lorry drivers...or at least me are these disability scooters...i nearly hit an old girl who shot out a side street.
Some are quite low and if they sneak out nearly imposible to see.
From my point of view fantastic looking accidents like this often end up with no fatalities...unlike the poor fellow who got hit on the hard shoulder by a breakdown truck at JCT 15 last week.....no carnage but died instantly.
For what its worth ouside of built up areas its not speed that kills most its distance...or lack of it between vehicles.
