Due to hit 120p a litre in the next few weeks acording to the beeb / AA, at which point the genuis government will add another 3p a litre in tax, as it clearly isnt taxed enough currently.

Obvuiously this will force me to use the world class and cheap public transport on offer instead, which will have the dual benefit of reducing congestion and reducing my carbon footprint. As everything is transported by rail in Britain this also wont have an inflationary effect at all. Good news all round, couldnt be happier.

I've just saved a few quid on a season ticket, and twigged afterwards it'll cost me arond £700 in petrol! I've actually started working at home a lot more since the prices have been going up. If I dont have a reason to go into the office i dont. Saves me about £50 a week.

the cost is absurd here. whilst everything else in norway is at least twice as expensive (£6-£8 for a pint for example) the price of fuel is lower.

it's utterly fucking bonkers.

Petrol in Lux is about 108 cents a litre.

It is much higher in Belgium, Holland and Germany as well where it is about 140 cents

The worst thing about it is the double whammy effect that its costs us more to fill our cars to get anywhere, then more to buy essentials like food beacuse it is all transported at least some of the way by road.

So the essential costs of getting to work and eating go up and there is fuck all we can do about it. I appreciate that international oil prices are not labours fault but adding anymore duty to fuel right now is fucking insane.

Politicians aren't renowned for their intelligence though are they? If there was anyone with even a small amount of business sense in the government we wouldn't be loaded to the eyeballs in debt and playing catch-up for the next god knows how many years.

Of course it doesn't help that you are paying tax on top of tax.

You have to pay the fuel duty....then they whack VAT on top. Talk about a double whammy.

Glad I've just invested in a new push bike, the cost of running a car is ridiculous; servicing, MOTs, fuel, tax, insurance, petrol.

Anyone want to buy a H reg Renault 5 with no MOT? £100
