The Wildcats aren't though,

Shame but true. I've been a couple of times this year since the Darcey Cahill years by comparison and they were woeful. I guess its a money thing.

I think that's the difference for me between Ice Hockey and football. I will suffer a bad game of football and on some level enjoy it. With the Wildcats I'll just give it a miss.

I'm sure the Wildcats diehards feel the same way about their sport.

The ex-nhl guy? Courtnay? His reading of the game is miles ahead of 95% of the other players in this league (as expected) and he's putting up regular points, but recently the Manchester Phoenix (the team he plays for) have been dropping points left, right and centre, and playing badly by the sounds of it too.

I'm undecided on Aldy. From what I've been told he got let down by 4 or 5 decent brits (better than the 3rd line brits that make up our team) and a couple of imports. One import went elsewhere, the other played for us but was fucking woeful, a Canadian defenceman we had for the first few weeks of the season. He was shit, and must've lied on his CV, as he struggled to skate backwards at speed (kinda what a D man has to do. A lot)

Still, there's something not right, as you don't have two players walk out mid-season, and sack your netminder after he headbutts an oposition agitator after our players didn't protect him...

We don't have any 'goons' this year (goons are the scrappers, enforcer type players) unlike previous years, so fights have been thin on the ground this year.
