Hi Norwich fan here, just wanted to ask you lads a few things about Mcnamee. Recently he has got into are 1st 11 after injury/suspension to a few players and some Norwich fans are getting a bit excited about him but tbh i think he is absolutly shit, does about 100 stepovers then delivers a poor cross. Some Norwich fans seem to rate him though and are comparing him to Huckerby which is ridiculous imo. Anyway i wanted to know what you lot thought of him during his time with you did you rate him? Also i notice your form has increased a lot since he left is that anything to do with him or more to do with Austin bagging all those goals? Also why did he leave Swindon? did he want to leave or did Wilson want him out? Seems a bit of a strange signing to me, seems to be a favourite of Lambert but i can't see it myself, i think league 1 is his level, would certianly look out of dept in the Championship, unlike Hoolahan for example. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season(would love to see you beat Leeds scum to 2nd) except for March 20th  Cheesy

He wasn't favoured by Wilson, work ethic not great, good at crossing and assists, but doesn't add anything else to the game. You'll be lucky if you catch him behind the halfway line.

On his day he puts the shits up defenders, but his day isn't often enough and we were generally glad to get some cash for him.

I think when Huckerby was scoring 10 goals a season from midfeild in the Championship and Prem for us and you where languishing in League 2 or whatever you might have taken him then m8

Good on his day, will go on hot runs and probably be a favourite of many fans, but there's a reason he plays in League One.

Ahh, nostalgia. It's not what it used to be.

About sums him up. More Michael Flatly than Michael Owen.

You lot turned his heads last summer and his always intermittent form completely nosedived thereafter

Sounds shit, i reckon most Norwich fans will turn on him in a few months, probably after we loose at the County Ground and he has a crap game

He will, as the County Ground will be away from home.

FWIW, despite his on/off form for us, I hope he does do well at Norwich (except at the CG, natch). There's something there, just needs to show it more often

Honest opinion. On his day he can rip defenders to shreds. BUT those days are hit and more likely miss. And when they are miss he offers little else to the team, it not that he didn't try (though others disagree) but his physique means he's never going to have that in his game.

I didn't know it at the time, but McNamee leaving has improved our team, as we now have two hard working players on the wing who can deliver going forward, and track back. Hopefully we'll show you in a couple of weeks.
