I binned off T-Mobile because they are shit, and went to Orange instead. Then, 3 weeks later they fucking merged.

Vodafone are ace. The best coverage of all of the networks. My good lady switched after getting pissed off with T-Mobile.

I stupidly took a 24 month contract out with T Mobile in October. They're signal is terrible, i've always found 02 the best, but unfortunately, at the time i didn't have a debit card which meant I couldn't take a contract out with them.

O2 and Vodafone generally have a more consistent signal because of the GSM network they grew-up on compared to Orange and T Mobile's later range being a bit shit with hills and buildings etc. I think the latter tried to compete by being more creative inner city networks, getting cell sites into all sorts of odd places to boost strength. They struggled to be able to get decent sites for the larger base sites that the initial two managed.
Orange and T Mobile tended to be more creative to try and compete for customers, so you find cheap tariffs and marketing efforts.

Cheap but shit signal.
Phones dont work once you go down the hill towards Lyneham in Wootton Bassett high street. Went to the south west in the summer and the last signal I go was outside Exeter.
I stupidly agreed to a mobile stick as well, not realising Id be stuck with it for 2 years.

I'm with T-mobile - I can get a good signal in the toilet and everywhere is fuzzy - this means that to have a decent conversation with someone on the phone I need to ring them when taking a shit - I'm not sure this is worth the £4 a month saving.
