I wouldn't have him back purely because I don't think he'd be good enough now, wouldn't be against the idea in principle but he's too old and wouldn't offer us anything useful and he'd still be after decent wages.

I don't think he could have made even the bench all that often but he could have brought something to the squad I think.

Least Heywood was honest from the start and didn't string the club/fans along. May not be the best player in the world but he gets my respect (even if he is at city!!) and i'll applaud him when he returns next season.

If he was good enough to come back and bang in 20 goals again then I'd say fuck it. I wouldn't welcome him back with open arms though.
However, I'd doubt he's capable of getting into double figures in this league now and he's two years older than when he left and he struggled towards the end of the season even then.
