There is going to be a group of us going up to Leeds in April for the away fixture. Considering it's on a Bank Holiday weekend we are looking to stay overnight. Anyone got any recommendations on places to stay, venues to visit (apart from Elland Road of course). Last time I went to Leeds was 1993  Huh?

Ta.

Don't know about hotels in Leeds, I'm staying in a B&B in Whitby with the wife. That was the only way I was allowed to go to the game...on our 10 year wedding anniversary (romantic I know) Cheesy

I think Bewley's is the usual TEF hotel of choice. Near the train station and city centre. I'll let somebody else confirm if I've got the name right!

Pretty basic but I usually stay at the Holiday Inn express at the armouries.  Clean and pretty basic but has a bar.  A good spectator sport is to go to morrisons and see the really truly thick yorkshireman / woman in their natural habitat.

I hate the place.

If you are after some where cheap then there is a Etap hotel, 5 minute walk from the corn exchange.

From September 2007:

Quote
Dear Alan,

Regarding your enquiry below, I am pleased to confirm we can
offer you the rooms you have requested at our Leeds City Centre Premier Inn. The room rate is £58 per room per night. Full English cooked breakfast (all you can eat) will be an additional £7.50 per person per day if required. Your enquiry does not actually constitute a group booking at that particular hotel so payment would be due on arrival and cancellations are free up until 1pm on the day of arrival.

If you would like me to hold these rooms for you I shall need
your address and credit/debit card details for the booking.

Kind regards,

Dawn

Decent enough, in the city centre, walkable to the ground. £29 a head for a twin room at that time.

We went etap 2 seasons ago, tidy and cheap as fuck and bang near the nightlife. Unless you're intending to sit in your room for hours on end like a sad case I don't see the need for anything more luxurious.

I like the sound of the "all you can eat" breakfast.

If they weren't different they wouldn't be options.

Gatecrasher Leeds!!!!!!

If you're 18 thats great. Seeing a late twenty-something dance to crap Trance music with glow sticks is slighty disturbing.
