I think this could be the perfect move for all parties. The lad needs to play some first team football to develop and to gain some confidence. If he can come back and put in two good performances at the CG in a row then all his doubters will suddenly change their minds.

a whole 67 minutes he has played at home this season.

I agree the loan spell is needed, but you can hardly call him poor, he's hardly played - he's not even spent enough time on the pitch to have been poor!

Of course jonny can call him poor, his name isn't LJF.

Good luck to Macklin at Torquay. He needs games under his belt.

Every time I've seen him this season, he just reminds me of Christian Roberts when he plays.

Be fair, Dave, from the man who reckons every other player in the squad (and team in the division) is "shit",  "poor" is actually pretty high praise. "poor" > "shit"

Prior to his injury when he was getting more and more game time he was beginning to show his promise. I seem to remember he was one of the few players able to liven up the game (don't forget we didn't have Austin) at one point when we were struggling to create anything.

I hope the loan spell works out for him because he definitely has the potential. I don't know why some people are quick to slag off the youngsters learning the game when they have had little game time.

How old is he? About 19 or 20?

TBF to johnny, i don't think Revell is good enough for league one. yet. he must have something about him because he's highly rated and his pace is quick as foook.

He'll do good, just give him time

Good move. At least we're not loaning these players out to crap like Supermarine.

How did this turn in to a dispute?

It looks like we all agree - he has a lot of potential but needs some games and the loan move is excellent news.

Right-when he came on at Yeovil he did exactly that.Trouble is you never really know how a bad injury is gonna affect a player long-term,look at Brez.Best wishes to Macklin.
