Mobile phone recycling

Afternoon chaps,

Has anyone used one of the above services such as mazuma etc?

Is it worth the hassle and does it take long for it all to be sorted?

Just i want to cancel my phone contract and it will cost 160 quid, and i have loads of phones lying around including a new nokia e71

I used the News of the world one as I exchange phoned for Debenhams vouchers (my sister wanted a fairly expensive Birthday gift from there!) I got alot more in Vouchers then I did for cash and It all went through really quickly - they updated me by email at every stage -managed to get my sisters present! my favourite bit was when she turned around to me and said she "wasnt doing gifts" this year!!

I went on the website and allegedly the total for the 6 phones is £240.

£160 to pay contract off and get an iphone on a different contract with a different provider

80 quid for beer.

Worth checking what you'd get for them on eBay, always surprises me how much people will pay for a second hand phone even if it is still locked to a specific network.

I've used a couple of firms, one of them was Mazuma.

They took a phone which Vodafone said they couldnt repair because of 'water damage' and paid me the full whack for it. I also sold a couple of older phones as well.

The whole process was fairly quick and the cheques arrived a lot sooner than I expected. I had to pay the recrded delivery postage for one place and got a record of postage for the other.

I would do it again, in fact I intend to do it when the one I hvae comes to the end of its contract!

will it make a difference? or do they only check to see if its nicked or not?

You dont send the sim card with itso how would they even know?

Sold two of my old phones to Envirophone- quick and professional, one of them was broken, so they emailed me and said they'd either accept it at a lower price or mail it back free of charge, which was good of them (especially as both of them were broken as far as I was concerned).

Good advice. I signed up to the News of the world MPX Exchange & sold my old phone. Theya sked me if I wanted to become an agent which I looked into & got all the details. I then went on to e-bay with the idea of buying phones & then selling them for a profit to MPX. Virtually all phones were selling for more than the going rate with MPX.

I currently have a LG touch screen that I want to sell. They offer £22 & I know I can get more like £40. Having said that the service is very good & hassle free.
