mainly t-mobile, anyone had an experience with them?
basicly my contracts up, i want a new phone but i wanna use the threatening to leave line, in slighly worried that they will just say ok, see ya later, which i dont want.
so whats the best way to go about it? just straight up ask for what you want? or let them try and bribe you to stay?

Ask for your PAC code so you can take your number with you and you have to use this within something like 14 days - i.e. you don't have to have them cancel your contract you can 'pretend' to be going elsewhere and not go.
I done this with Vodafone a year or so ago, went in the shop to upgrade decided the phone I wanted was too expensive so I phoned to cancel and they gave me the phone for free threw in some speakers and 3 months free line rental and 3 months free wap browsing and offered me vodafone internet for 6 months free, Ive been with them for quite a few years and it seems if you have been with a provider a while they don't like losing you.

My contract's up at the end of the month, contemplating moving as there's a few really annoying no coverage areas where coverage is either non-existent or drops out randomly, primarily my kitchen and a few key stages on the M4 between Swindon and Bristol which is my route to work. I know all the networks have some blank areas, but anyone know a network that's reliable in Swindon, Brizzle and on the M4 in between?

Cheers Sam, but that's just what the networks claim though. Voda claim they have good coverage in all the places I find in practice that calls drop out or there's just no signal so was looking more for personal experience rather than networks claiming they're wonderful when I know they're not

Cheers Sippo. What I'm looking to do is narrow it down to a couple then get a £10 pre-pay SIM from each of them and just try it out on different journeys to/from work (and to/from the kitchen) over the course of a few weeks |

I have the same problem at home, only i have no signal in pretty much the entire house. I find that virgin seems to be the best on coverage for me. I also find that anything other than a Nokia phone seems to have shitter signal. |

The threaten to leave and ask for the code (though it's not called a PAC in this case) also works for getting a better deal out of your broadband provider, as I discovered today.

My contract was up about 5 months ago and i'm wondering what i should do? I don't want a Smartphone or any of that crap (i use my phone for talking  ) and am wondering whether i should go to o2 and get a mental deal, like my little sister did, or get an HTC Hero and a Wii with Sports Resort and just flog it all on eBay (24 month contract at £25pm, phone and wii free)? My sister pays £5 a month, 12 month contract, no phone, 600 xnet mins. I also don't text. Or wap it up. |
