I was out in it at 6am this morning. The side roads were ok if drove carefully, but the main roads were like normal. This country does over exagerate things.

Maybe in Swindon. It's lethal here.

Driving on the main roads is not the problem though is it. I just walked into the city from Southsea,
normally takes 10 mins, took nearly an hour, fuckin lethal on the icy paths/pavements and residential streets.

It all depends where you are - in my small town they haven't gritted at all - it a few miles to any roads that have been, making it dangerous to travel.

Just about managed to get from Swindon to Oxford today, A420 is ok, though down to one lane but the last street was horrendous and the car got stuck at one point.

Friend of mind made a snow dog that I think is pretty good. http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2449/200/33/667577196/n667577196_2095770_8882.jpg

Beware of falling icicles when it thaws.

Came back to London on the train today. It's incredible how the snow gets so much thinner after Slough, there's nothing more than a reasonable covering here, although Finsbury Park does look quite nice. Hopefully we'll have a fair bit on Sunday and beyond, as I'm behind on reading thanks to working through the holidays, and need uni to be closed so I have time to catch up!

Good stuff Whits.

I had yesterday off, but the half inch of snow in Leicester meant I was in today and will be tomorrow.  Might get Monday off if the forecast is acurate.
