I live at the bottom of a hill/cul-de-sac.

I just tried to reverse the car up the hill (fwd), but no chance. I'm not going anywhere. Still, I am able to work from home so that's no problemo.

I walked down to the shop this morning, the main road was covered in snow so that made my decision to work from home a little easier!!

a few people made it into basingstoke but have been sent home again. Only people that walk have been told to stay but i'm sure they'll close by about 2

Very deep snow here in central Berkshire, started about 6pm last night and is still snowing. Very few cars on the road, all schools closed. More forecasted for today, tomorrow, then freezing cold Friday and snow again Saturday and Sunday.

I have plenty of booze and food supplies at home but only five fags left so will have to venture out later on, possibly might be stranded in a pub somewhere, you never know.

How is Slough? Are the train lines runinng well?

Measured snow in back garden about an hour ago at just over 4.5" and it's been falling steadily ever since, so will be more by now (obviously).

I'm about 12 miles from Slough (not far enough) - the roads in the Walthams (six miles west of Maidenhead are pretty bad), can not help you with train info, sorry.

I went into work this morning and was shocked to see a lorry had got here from Swindon. He then got stuck for 3 hours.

Apparently it's alot worse here.

Ah right cheers. I'll have to train it tomorrow anyroad, seeing as my central lockings packed in grrrr.

Sloughs a right pain in the snow though. In the snow we had before christmas it took someone 4 hours to get from slough to maidenhead. It took someone 8 hours to get to high wycombe!! kerazay

Cheesy Kids wanted to know. And I don't think I'd be measuring anything longer than an inch with my knob in that weather
