The pre-Christmas snow essentially cleared on December 30 only for heavy snow to return the next day. We've had snow on/off throught the afternoon and evening. It's not snowing at the moment but we've got heavy snow due again tomorrow and light snow for the rest of the week.

It's more a chore than anything now Smiley

The question is, how much snow is needed before a day off is warranted?  Last week a few people didn't come in and received disciplinaries!  I've not been there long so still trying to create a good impression, but last time in the snow nearly got wiped out and I've got a rather large excess on my insurance (a legacy of drink driving...)

I live the furthest away from my work but as long as the trains are running I'm fine. I imagine my colleagues who live in the old mining villages of Co. Durham will be preparing their "I'm snowed in" phonecalls and I don't blame them Smiley

at fucking last. I thought all the weather warnings were lying.

The council already cancelled all the school buses for tomorrow/(today) earlier based on the forecast, didn't they?

i have finally got home after driving for and hour and a half at 25mph. All roads in swindon and suurounding areas are covered in snow and slush. The temperature is not so bad (about -0.5) so the snow is not freezing into ice but it is still very very slippy.

Take care everyone

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious shit...
