nothing here, very cold though, just went for a lovely stroll along the beach, nothing beats being wrapped up warm in the cold by the sea.
I witnessed the most awe inspriring sunset of my life in Brighton a few years back. Early December, so no haze. Just a brilliant blue sky, a deep orange sun and air so clear and cold it made your nostrils ache. The sun pretty much sets in the south that time of year, so it set right over the sea...witnessed by me a several hundred others who had gathered on the beach to watch. You could pinpoint the split second that the earth's rotation rolled the sun out of view. Awesome to watch.

Around Faringdon/Shrivenham the snow was coming down heavily at 4pm. So will probably be worse that way later...

Also expected 20-40 cm here aswell
London and South East There is a high risk of an extreme weather event affecting the area during Tuesday evening and overnight into Wednesday morning. A period of exceptionally heavy snowfall is expected with accumulations of 15-30 cm and possibly in excess of 40 cm. This is expected to cause widespread disruption to the transport network and could lead to problems with power supplies.
The public are advised to take extreme care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.

Not much in Devizes yet. I am supposed to be working at Trowbridge tomorrow, and normally there is no excuse as the main road is always clear as long as I can get off the estate.
I have got the sled out of the back of the garage just in case I am lucky and the kids school is closed. I am looking forward to being able to build a right proper snowman. Are you allowed to use a shovel to start it off or is that cheating??

metcheck.com keeps pushing the heavy snow forecast for our area back by several hours. They were forecasting the heaviest snow for this evening, but now they say it will not arrive until the morning rush hour tomorrow. We'll see.

Word. Get some lovely sunsets down here too, especially this time of year. Which reminds me to pick up my camera/tripod on the way to work tomorrow......
