Sadly No.

I think it's a Dorset/Wiltshire thing, it's never been available round here.

Used to have it in Glos & Staffs as a young un. Its not a Dorset/Wilts only thing.

My missus knows how to make it. Her Gramp used to be a baker and his bakery made the best lardy cake ever!

A bit of a detour, but Marshalls bakery in Pewsey is the best I have tried recently.

The Reeves chain usually has some but it can be too dry.

No its not, Lardy Cake has always been available right across the south of England, probably the whole of England. I've been eating the stuff since the 50s, still made in independent bakeries, someone else mentioned Greggs, I've got to admit I haven't seen it for sell with them.

Best Lardy to be found is in Weston Super Mare. Its a cake shop to the rear of the cafe on Oxford corner. Super, smashing, lovely.

Pop down 4 times a year for fish and chips then a Lardy. we know it as keep fit Sunday.

I ruddy loved lardy as a kid (as is probably evident). My nan always picked me up a slice Saturday morning from Castle's by the old market.

Sounds like you have a few options there, but the bakery in Borough Fields in Wootton Bassett sells it too. Love the stuff.
