you upat the rec tonight playing football in your swindon kit? you said you normally play down there. I was playing cricket tonight for Calne down at the rec.

I was out playing footie tonight. But playing in a Roma shirt against a portable goal.

Anyway how was your Cricket game tonight? A bit dark for batting wasn't it. How many did you and Darren make? Was this game against some 6 formers or something?

Yeh it was your 'groupies' i saw then.

cricket was very good in the end. we batted first, Daz hit 14 i think, not very good for him, then i came in number 6 and got a goldie   as usual. (should have been 11!) we were all out for only 89! then we bowled and they ended with 88-8!    so we won by 1 run or 2 wickets, which eva way. I bowled the last over at the end, was actually quite nervous as it was against the 6th formers i know alot of them! they needed 5 to win, and they got 4.   so our Calne team are top of the Wednesday night league which is cool.

Not bad, I wouldve bet on the 6 formers to get the runs. I heard cheering from the 6 formers everytime they took a wicket, they went mental. must be your new rivals. Are you Calne's best bowler then?

yeh, when they seemed like they were cruising they started doing the 'easy! easy! easy!' encouraged by malcolm who is our overseas player!    

Yeh i thought it would be over quickly but we bowled well and they just didn't go for it.

nah, im not Calnes best bowler as im still in the 2nds, theres about 3/4 better bowlers at Calne. I think though that the only reason why im not in the 1st team yet is because we are struglling for players alot of the time as everyone never seems to be avaliable,  so they want some of the better players to stay in the 2nds so that the 2nds still get a team, im usually the 4th/5th oldest person in our team now!

I think a few people left cos they didn't like how it was run. I know the first team is usually the coaches mates and not how good they are,it's who you know with Calne. There are some really fat buggars playing for the first, Can't remember his name?

yeh its true, i might be joining Goatacre next year though, i haven't decided. i would like playing for Calne as i know all the players quite well but if i want to get better and play a better standard of cricket, then Goatacre is probably my best bet.

The fat person your probably thinking of is Martin Butler. wickie in the 1sts. But yeh if you go to the rec and have a drink in there and get on eith people then you'll be in the 1sts.

yeah that's him. Martin Butler. He is slow,crap and most people I know think he is a arrogant twat. I think you should try Goatacre, unless Calne have a complete Clean out of management. Or you can wait a couple of years till your old enough to drink in the club house, cos you got to be 18 to become a member there.

Yeh, of course i don't want to go to Goatacre and end up playing in there 3rds which is the same level as the calne 2nds, so would have to make sure i would make the 2nds regualrly. Thats the only problem.

Butler can be, but is also alright at times. It is ran really stupidly sometimes too
