Isn't that the BBC Model A and not the more popular Model B?

The best version of Basic ever.

Have a look there - currently they are offering some pretty good deals with part built PC's

I was up there visiting them last week and they are selling a cracking amount of kit through this method....

I'd love to find a cheap working BBC, there must still be old school store cupboards full of them.

Look I've still got my little box of disks.

That bottom one could contain almost anything. The mystery is driving me mad.

Old floppy disks smell nice

Old floppies do have a sort of oily, almost dieselly afternote!

There are a few on Ebay going for around £25, I did used to love playing Elite and writing teletext pages at college on them back in 83-84.

The feel of the keyboard in comparison to the feel of the "dead fish" spectrum keyboard was awesome.

Loved Elite, Revs, Knightlore, Beach Head, Zaxxon, Sabre Wolf, Frak & JSW etc but those obviously arent exclusive to the beeb.

The Model B was far in advance of everything available at the time (81-83) it is rightly a classic.
