Isn't that the BBC Model A and not the more popular Model B?
The best version of Basic ever.

I'd love to find a cheap working BBC, there must still be old school store cupboards full of them. Look I've still got my little box of disks. http://j.photos.cx/IMG_0445-fe4.jpg That bottom one could contain almost anything. The mystery is driving me mad. Old floppy disks smell nice

Old floppies do have a sort of oily, almost dieselly afternote!
There are a few on Ebay going for around £25, I did used to love playing Elite and writing teletext pages at college on them back in 83-84.
The feel of the keyboard in comparison to the feel of the "dead fish" spectrum keyboard was awesome.

Loved Elite, Revs, Knightlore, Beach Head, Zaxxon, Sabre Wolf, Frak & JSW etc but those obviously arent exclusive to the beeb.
The Model B was far in advance of everything available at the time (81-83) it is rightly a classic.
