From todays Bournemouth Echo

TOM Killick believes the completion of Charlie Austin’s drawn-out move to Swindon Town will finally allow his squad to learn to live without the prolific frontman.

Austin was due to be unveiled to the press at the County Ground this morning after signing an initial nine-month deal with the League One club, but the star missed Dolphins’ past three games waiting for the move to be completed.

And after the transfer almost fell through last week, Killick expressed his relief that the saga was now done and dusted.

Speaking ahead of Dolphins’ FA Vase first round clash at home to Western League Bishop Sutton tomorrow (3pm), Killick said: “I told him that unless he mentions me at least six times in the press conference, there would be trouble!

“But Charlie’s excited and it’s brilliant for him. I’m looking forward to seeing how he does.

“I was really worried it might fall through and that would have been tragic, so I am pleased it’s gone through. But it’s important we get on with things now and get used to life without him.”

I heard we might miss out because Fitton won't may his agent's (his mum) fee.

I can't quite comprehend the 'add-on' regarding any possible appearance at international level. Surely, if he had that much potential he would have already been snapped up by a bigger club. So, has AF thrown that clause in as a sweetener to keep the deal at 50k, or is the Poole chairman just plain dim ?

Always used to work a treat on CM that, offer a tiny fee with huge amounts for International Appearences on a player with no chance of making the national team.

I expect him to be playing tomorrow.

If he doesn't score on his debut then Fitton's dropped a bollock and we'll have yet another useless player on our hands.

Just a couple of comments to whet the appetite for what is bound to be appearing on the Adver comments section in the not too distant future.

I'd start him upfront with Kevin Amankwaah.

I reckon we may see him on the bench tomorrow - looks like Tope will be out so a place is up for grabs.

He'll be a bit of an unknown quantity to Brentford which could work in our favour!

Either way I expect he'll play some part in the JPT at Exeter on Tuesday.

So no pressure on him then?

Doubt he'll be in the squad tomorrow. He needs to get his fitness levels up. Peacock is probably more likely to be on the bench.

If that's a joke about peacock, it's not very funny.

There is no way he will be anywhere near the bench tomorrow.  He's miles away from fitness.
