I think Colchester will be tough, although like you say, winnable.  Heres hoping LJF is fit as I'd not like to see Wilson have to mix the team up too much.

Izzet will be banned and their captain and best player Baldwin went off today with a bad injury. It will be a tough game with Boothroyd looking to start off well but if we play to our ability we should get 3 points.

Crikey!  Easy!  We haven't played anyone above us yet bar Franchise!

Absolutely fair cop, but when was the last time we had the slightest reason to be this cheerful?

Yes, come on. A couple of weeks up in the pay offs and hopefully we'll get a bit of excitement going.

An ugly win at Yeovil is all you can ask. They always sit on the game when we go there.

I've just gone to the Frying Fish in Drove Road to get my tea (Cod bites and chips, with a beef and onion pie, if anyone's interested !!) and on the way back, I had a couple of thoughts:

Who would've thought a month ago after us getting beat 5-0 and Colchester winning 7-1 on the first game of the season, that we would've been ahead of them by the time we met them next week.

And if Oldham didn't score that lucky goal in the last minute a fortnight ago, we would've been 4th.

Anyway, it's food time !!

We're averaging 1.83 points per game which works out at 84 points over 46 games.

Last season, 84 points was enough to finish 4th. In 07/08 it would have been 2nd.

Good times!

Proper tricky game next week. Today is great but if we can give Colchester a torrid time then we'll know whether we can truly compete in this division this season.

Good work Danny.

The chips followed by the pie and finished off by the cod bites.

Very nice.

Strange that there have been no posts here for 2 hours - and no posts from people who went to the game.  Guess people would have left the ground 3½ hours ago at least.  Are the roads bad tonight?
