Since Gillingham we have only conceded 2 goals in the last 4 games, obviously including the 120mins away at Wolves. We are yet to concede a goal at home this season.

Reason for optimism I think! Whatever Wilson's been doing defensewise it's been working.

Just thought I'd start a positive thread.  Cheesy

120 minutes against Wolves.

I'm trying to discredit your thread before it gets going.

Yeah its 15mins each way for extra time isn't it.

Even better then! That extra confidence from those last 10mins will give us the edge Saturday.

Will we play with the same defensive unit do you reckon? I'm kinda hoping the return of Jean-Francois won't be delayed too long. Do we know if he's cropped for a long time?

He has/had a "slight hamstring problem". Hopefully we will find out tomorrow if he's gonna play. It'd probably be good to play him as he will be fresher.

After last seasons lack of clean sheets anything is an improvement, but good signs.  At the Southampton game I didn't feel as nervous as I would have done last season only being 1-0 up.  I reckon Douglas is the main reason for improvement, beyond Greer's impact towards the end of last season.

Everyone was calling JFL a useless cunt a few weeks ago and suddenly he is our defensive saviour.

For the record, I've always rated him.

I didn't see Gillingham so I didn't really make any comments like that as such.

I thought he looked like he couldn't be arsed last season, I think it's just his chilled out Haitian way. I think he's learning the game pretty quickly, Comminges wasn't the best defensively when he first turned out for us.

I'll admit I did say I thought he was crap. Not necessarily on here but to my mate I said it. To be fair he wasn't playing well at the time.

Its the same with Greer and Morrisson, what happened with their lack of pace which a good few people were bitching about (especially when we let Ifil go)? I haven't heard any mention of that over the last few games.

I think everyone thought the Norwich board were twats for firing (the) Gunn after one bad result, but I don't know they are that much worse than some of the people here. Its football, shit happens and we've got a pretty good defence for a shit League One side.

Bollocks. No one on here was calling for the managers head. After the pikey game most people who witnessed it were fucked off: we had just lost 5 - NIL!! The team that day played crap, they knew it and so did we. Since that game they've improved massively.

It's not being fickle to to get pissed off when players don't perform, it's natural.
