yes but the food in bulgaria is horrifically average unless pizza and chips is your thing. Budapest could be really hot, cracking city though im going to try and dig out a website that was renting flats for a week, was dead cheap when me and my mate went 3 or 4 years ago. I would definately avoid the eurozone if you can, we have been hit to fuck in the exchange rate.
How about marrakesh? im pretty sure easyjet fly there so would be dirt cheap.

Austria/Northern Italy - go between the two countries on the train, amazing journey through the Alps. Innsbruck was a lovely City surrounded by mountains and a river, not too pricey. Trentino area is gorgeous in Northern Italy and we didn't need to buy any food because we got loads of food with every drink we purchased (Tapas style but free).
Nice was bloody fantastic but you'll require a mortgage sized loan to spend more than a couple of days there.

You're right about the food Mex....it's because Bulgaria is quite a poor country racked by years of oppression. They do like eating frogs and snails though. Because of the poverty they're genuinely happy to see tourists and are a friendly bunch.

This was a winner, fly to innsbruck, couple of days there and then a train through the alps in two parts before flying back from venice. And all I miss is Oldham away.

Isn't it just as/more expensive holidaying in the UK though? I have no idea as I've got more chance of growing a womb than I have of getting away on holiday in the near future but I know even when we go anywhere on day trips in the UK it costs a bloody fortune

I've not been on a proper holiday since 2006 so I'm looking forward to doing a week abroad.
