LG's latest is the LG-GD900-CRYSTAL. Youll probably like that. I got the N97 free but that on a £40 a month deal. You probably would have to pay at £20 per month.

for the handful that I expect that are on the 'three' network, they too have changed their T&C so there is also a way out from them
Yes, where?

I just phoned Orange to complain. I told them that I could get a better phone on a similar contract to my current one on another network. They informed me that they cannot offer me a reduction in my tariff cost on my current phone even though I barely use my allowance. So i asked them if they could offer me an upgrade on handset to match what I could have elsewhere and again the answer was no. I told them that I would have to seriously consider cancelling my contract and going to another network unless they offered my an incentive to stay. They basically admitted that I a can cancel my contract if I wish to. Going to consider actually cancelling it now.

Sounds like you don't really have much reason not to cancel!

Rang up about 3 times over the last 5 or so days to cancel and was told I needed a text with the charges(Which I deleted). Rang up this earlier to get told a previous request had gone through and that my contract is terminated as from tonight/tomorrow!
Any ideas on which networks offer good coverage as I don't get a great signal with Orange? And what is the Iphone like? Is it worth the extra money for the handset?
I find O2 is pretty good coverage wise and customer service wise, they have always been excellent and the call centre isnt in india which is a good start. I love my iphone and think its worth paying extra, some great features too which cost nothing. I like the fact you can just plug it into i tunes and away you go updates and all. I only got it as wanted an i pod but was due an upgrade so wanted to kill 2 birds with one stone really! Camera isnt good but I have a digital for that so not really fussed!

PS her contract was only a couple of months old so shouldn't be a problem for anyone... before they cancelled they offered her £5 off a month before hand...

O2 lied when they cocked up my contract. To this day they still blame me for the fact they failed to give me unlimited internet to start with, even though it's there in black and white on the contract I signed.
It's a bitch to get any money back from them when they do cock up, but I expect the same is true of most companies.
