How do you like yours cooked? Do you have sauce with it?

These questions have arisen because I'm arguing with a friend that eats sauce with EVERYTHING and admitted that he doesn't eat a steak without some sort of sauce, that he's missing out

Medium rare for me, lightly seasoned with fresh ground pepper during the cooking process

I don't see why you would spend money on a good steak to smother cheap sauce on it :?

Some of the most expensive dishes available in the world come with a drizzle of sauce. A good sauce, in moderation can add rather than take away from a dish.

Well done with peppercorn sauce.

Best steaks ever were in Turkey this time last year. Lived on them for two weeks and came back 11 pounds heavier  :?

My and my sister just took my Mum and Dad out for an all expenses paid meal to Bath. It was my Dad's 53'rd birthday.

The amazing thing about tonight was that it was the first time we have even bought our dad a drink. ..

So off we went to Bath for a few beers, then to Browns restaurant. The meal took bloody ages and mother, father Vik and her boyfriend said their food was cold. So the damn waitress took it all back to recook it (INCLUDING MY PERFECT STEAK  ).

They brought it back and apparently it was still grim. My family are picky buggers so I ate 3 steaks tonight. My god I feel sick.

Anyway, my dad went mental and we got the meal free. Cost just £12 for the wine.

My dad was gutted. I feel bad for buying him such a crap meal but I only agreed to do it when i was drunk.

I'd have never complained about a meal but it saved me over £100. Would you complain like a tough guy? Or do you keep quiet like me?

P.S. I had mine medium well, My sisters was medium, her boyfriends was medium rare. I liked medium rare the best.

Jeez Louise, 3 steaks in 1 sitting. You must have the constituition of a rhinoceros!!!!

I'm the same, like to keep quiet unless its ridiculous, but my mrs is a moany bugger, so we tend to get loadsa free meals/drinks.

I swear (fuck) that restaurants employ fit waitresses, just so us gullable blokes don't have the courage to say that the food is shite. Still, mustn't grumble!!

I have worked in restaurants and the one thing you should NEVER complain about is steak.

It goes straight on the floor mashed with a grimy boot a couple of times, wiped down then thrown back on the griddle.

One way to upset a chef is to complain about his steak.

Having done my time as a youngster I wouldn’t ever go nuts at staff.  They are badly paid as it is and don’t deserve half the crap they get.  Nope if the foods shite I’ll leave it pay and then never go back.  Secret is to research where you’re going first.

Steak Diane in the best.

Although I have been put off eating raw meat by a common parasite that apparently lives in a lot off meat.  It's harmless enough, effects millions of people and is near on impossible to detect.  Basicly effects your reactions very, very slightly.

Most of the French have it for their love of uncooked meat.

Unless a steak is rare its not worth bothering with....in France, you get it tartare which is raw and good.....although a bit thin.

We're a bit paranoid here that unless its cooked you'll get a disease or something
