I saw him at Gatwick Airport and he was always a big guy but he had put on a lot if weight since stopping playing football.

He was doing analysis on some of the Old Firm games on Setanta and he always came across well I thought.

He was a strong player on the pitch, hopefully he can fight this, good luck to him.

Always loved Hartson. One of those fat strikers who completely didn't adhere to the footballing stereotypes but was quality at his job.

All the best, hope he recovers fully.

Yeh it's a pretty awful disease...!

Get well Sir John, legendary striker, most notable for wearing number 5 despite playing as a striker for Coventry.

There's got to be something more significant about John Hartson's career than wearing a number 5 shirt during a short spell with Coventry?

I remember he made his first major impact during a cup run with Luton (the season they used squad numbers) - Plus the prolific seasons in Scotland.

Good luck to the guy.

Almost 1200 best wishes comments on a Celtic site already, Shows how well thought of he was in Scotland.
