but i've just come accross this Pathe News report of the 69 Final.

Rather like the alleged Moon landing in the same year, I believe this event and the black & white footage to be a hoax. Flags can clearly be seen fluttering above the scoreboard, and how could Don Rogers' shirt have possibly stayed so white in all that mud???!!!
