Zeitgeist.....

A great word and an impressive word because it can sum up so many different variables and stuff in 2 (or 3) syllables.

I also cannot figure out of it is 2 or 3 syllables, does 'tg' count as a syllable? Surely not but then surely 'geist' is too long for one syllable.

Fuck it, either way it is a good word.

Zeitgeist, has been used a fair bit on the TEF.

I particularly like this example, on a thread started by Toni  Smiley

I'd go with two. One for "Zeit" and one for "geist".

Wait up.

Apparently the word Zeitgeist is a sesquipedalian word, meaning 'many syllables' or something like that. The answer might be 2 1/2 syllables or something.

I am liking this word zeitgeist even more now.

Maybe I have drunk to much or something but the syllables don't seem to add up to me. I'll think about it again tomorrow.

Either way...... Zeitgeist.

Good word that innit?

It is two.

I have a nagging suspicion that you are saying it wrong.

This would explain your confusion.

Why don't you write it down, phonetically, on here, so the Swindon Town faithful can judge.
