Like all religions, you get a range from fundamentalist crackpots, through to weddings and funeral types. I've known quite a few of the latter down the years and always found them great company and a right good laugh. Mostly from when I lived in North London and used to go and watch the Yids. Nevertheless I wouldn't have much in common with the zealots. They also produce some stunningly attractive birds, which is always a good thing.

That ascent of money program on C4 a couple of months back was good.
Just showed how much the power in Western Europe was swayed by the money men. Which, in particular meant a few Jewish families who had become very wealthy through centuries of money lending.

I think you've highlighted one of the main reasons. There are many cases across Europe where Jews were marginalised from "Christian" society, ended up going into moneylending, and made a tidy life for themselves whilst everybody else struggled.
Some may have hated the Jews for the whole death of Jesus business, but I'm not sure that is or ever was a particularly large force behind anti-Semitism. Although this isn't "original sin", that term refers instead to the Adam and Eve stuff
Re blame for the death of Jesus, you may be right, but it certainly didn't help. I also thought there was a term for this, of course I knew it wasn't original sin, sorry, my mistake.

If the question is about political anti-Semitism then that is a whole different thing. The Jews have historically provided an easily identifiable and often geographically focused community to scapegoat for 'extremist' groups to rail against easily in heterogeneous Europe. Sometimes the anger has been based on biblical or economic factors but quite often the Jews of Europe were the latest wave of immigrants to arrive and so targeted for that being exactly that - See coming over here and taking our jobs. European history is littered with massacres of Jews – Britain in the 12th century as well as France and even Spain. (I think, I’m a bit sketchy on some of the dates)
The Russian’s have a special word for it – pogrom. It has become a generic but really it means a riot aimed at Jews. And it was often used politically by the Tsars as a way of focussing public anger on a minority, instead of them. The same tactics were also used against the left across Europe hinting at Jewish intellectuals being behind many leftist governments. See Hitler, A.
In British history, the British Union of Fascists used anti-Semitic rhetoric in the 1930s although there is (relatively) little sign of leader and toff Sir Oswald Mosley personally believing much of it – more that it was so ingrained in the membership and their target audience of the urban poor and disengaged. Now we see the same thing with Griffin and all his little wizards but the targets change (although I’m sure if you dig deep enough he would still blame the global Jewish conspiracy for the fact that he is a gammy-eyed prick).
Or summit like that.
