So I need to get from Swindon Station to Blunsdon House Hotel in less than 30 minutes. Is a bus a viable option, or am I limited to a taxi? How much for each?

The bus from Swindon to Blunsdon only runs hourly so you're out of luck there.
A taxi with either V-Cars or United shouldn't cost you much more than £8 I would've thought.

Balck cab will be about £15. So I'd book one before and like sam says shouldn't be more than a tenner.

Walk, you will feel better for it! Seriously, I think Samdy is right, a taxi is the only real answer. Probably be nearer a tenner though!

Cost isn't an issue, travelling on business so I'll be claiming it back on <cough> expenses......
Interestingly, the directions to Blunsdon House don't mention rail, but do provide coordinates for their helipad......

I'd recommend SN1 taxis... 523523. They are a lot cheaper than V Cars and their drivers are usually friendly chaps.

V cars booking office is above the station, you can wander in and get a cab pretty much straight away

Yeah I thought it was going to something like Treasure Hunt, or that book thing which had a buried bit of jewelery, which name escapes me, whereby a piece of tasty STFC memorabilia was hidden away, and clues offered to find it...a bit like Granny's Garden. Have to say, should I get a taxi on expenses or a bus is a bit of a no brainer. However if the walking option is taken I can provide a decent route with a minimum of busy road walking...which takes in some interesting hidden corners of Swindon.

Yeah...I think you should have had a golden boot forged in the furnaces of Mordor, that fitted the foot of Simon Cox. Buried it in a jewelled casket decorated with filigree TEF logos, the location of which was only known to you and a witness of unimpeachable honesty like Yeovil Blue. And then devised a series of computer based riddles...using 80's BBC style graphics, so that we could be challenged to discover the whereabouts of the auric shoe.
